Hey guys, what do you do with the second rod when a fish hits the other so it doesn't drag and snag while you are reeling her in? It seems if you drop it to the floor and get a foot on the handle it wouldn't go over board when or if it hangs up but there must be something I am missing? Thanks gilly

Sounds as though you need to get a good rod holder instead of steping on stuff!!! It's all fun and games till something gets broken!!! :p
I have a trolling plate on the back of my boat and I just set it in the holder...the change in tip position is about 6'. Never had a problem hanging up...Just make sure your drag is adjusted :yikes:

I knew it was just that simple. I have eight rod holder positions on the boat so it shouldn't be a problem. Just keep er angled up and drop her in. I knew it was a simple fix thanks ss.

Man if you could increase your chance of catching a fish 100%- use two rods/baits = twice the chance to have a run in with ole wally. Ron went back down to the unmentionable spot this morning landed one small one and had two others on- one broke his line and other I don't know. Then the rain soaked him bad so in he came in. One funny thing happen as another guy said look at the deer. Sure enough a deer was swimming across from the US side and made it up onto the Canadian side! Ron was sure he then heard a 22 go off a few minutes later.....LOL
