Fishing was not slow, but then again, we were not actually catching what we were after. Fished this morning from 7:30 - noon and landed 21 walleye -- only 3 were keepers. Also caught a variety of white bass, smallmouth bass, drum, and even a 42 inch musky. We did most of our fishing by the rocks, Great Lakes Steel, and Fighting Island. Did not see many keepers netted. Water temps were 56-57 and clarity was very good. We fished with green jigs and black worms. There was a pretty good pack of boats at the tip of Fighting Island, but I did not fish it because a couple of my guys did not have Canadian tags. Did not hear any reports on how fishing was over there.
Cheers.

Fished the D-River yesterday from 6:30 - 11am. Non-stop action. We caught 51 walleyes between the two of us. 10 keepers. Biggest was about 3lbs. Caught another dozen smallies and a bunch of white perch. No white bass. Surprizing. Hot lure was 3/8oz green/yellow sticker jig, with a brown (called golden shiner on the package)4" FinS Fish. Water was clean. We fished most of our time near the tip of Fighing Island and then down to the Red/White channel marker. Best depth was 26-30 FOW. Good luck.
