For Pike fishing, the best lake that I know of that has good numbers and size would be Crooked Lake. It is right of off US10 in the city of Lake.
For Bass I would say try Five Lake near Farwell. Tons of bass in that lake and some good size to most of them too. My mom lives on this lake and I was there today and seen quite a few nice bass on there beds. There are pike in there also but I have not seen nor heard of any good sized ones come out of that lake. If you would like more info on this lake let me know and I can pm you some "hot spots".
Also, just as an FYI bass season does not open untill next sat the 28th.

Houghton Lake has what you are looking for.
Lake George, northwest of Clare has produced some dandy pike. Lily Lake, west of Harrison used to have very good bass fishing, but I havent fished it in 20 years or so..

Yep, Lake Goege is another good lake for pike. Forgot about that one, have not fished there in about 7-8 years. Never did fish Lily Lake. I may be mistaken but I think Lily Lake also has trout in it.

What I kno of lily lake is ,, no trout , not bad for gills on the beds , some bass .
Lily is very shallow and weedy by mid summer. Not a lake that I would recomend for more then spring gillin. The others mentioned are good to decent fishing for pike bass and panfish, just get out there before the speedsters.

I've caught a few big bass in Budd Lake in Harrison. I don't know if it has any pike though.

dont forget lake shamrock which is in clare. Ive caught nice bass and pike in that lake, You ask how do i know, I grew up there and graduated from high school there and put alot of time on that lake as a kid. I iced fished it all the time and also did well on crappie. If you want to catch some nice brown trout go up the tobbaco river which feeds into the lake, Ive caught a few that were 23 inches.there is also brookies in there but i mostly caught browns.
good luck!

if you want to venture a little farther west you have big lake, chippewa lake and also martiny flooding which has 12 lakes in it some are small but all have a variety of fish...
