Has anyone been doing any good in the St.Clair river in regards to walleye? I have not caught a pic in over a week. Lots of small mouth bass around but were are the walleye????

mordenk, I have not been fishing Walleye because the Perch action has been quite good. In past years in the mid to late Oct. I have done well on the Walleyes at the Delphine Channel and the Sturgeon hole might be a good bet also. Also the river systems should be producing some fish as well. If you get a chance to try it, let us know how you did. Good Luck!

MORDENK,
THE LAST TWO WEEKS, IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE BITTING FROM 6:30PM UNTIL 9:30PM. CRAWLERS ARE THE ONLY THING THAT'S WORKING. MINNOWS WILL GET YOU SHEEPHEAD AND BASS. I DID HAVE A FIRST FOR ME LAST WEEKEND. FISHING WITH LARGE CHUBS, I HOOKED INTO A 40" PLUS MUSKEY. MY BROTHER HAD IT IN THE AIR, OVER THE DOCK, WHEN IT FLIPPED OUT OF THE NET. DAMN WALLEYE NET WAS TO SMALL.

Caught a few a week ago in the north channel by deckers. Would have posted then but internet service was out for a week.

Thanks guys for the replies,
I braved the rain and the white caps in my little quiksilver inflatable yesturday morning around 6:30 and I was rewarded with one small walleye(Released) and two nice smallies. I was using those "Green Worm's" and a watermelon coloured worm harness. Tonight is my last night at work for three days and I plan on doing some evening fishing over the week-end if the wind slow's up.
Quick question, if the water is fairly "mercky" still is it worth even going out for walleyes?
THANX

Fished in river at Marysville Friday night (10-12-01). Put 6 in the cooler, lost 6 at the boat and had several quick releases. Caught all on Rapala #11 Black & Silver except the last one got it on Rapala #11 Chartruese. I was anchored whipping or chugging what ever you want to call it. 18' of water, water temp was 58 degrees. air temp was 55degrees. at 2am when I was putting the boat on the trailer. Bob B.:D
