Once again it is that time of year where I get to partake in a couple of my favorite activities in the same day. What I am referring to is a 24 hour period that I get to fish to my hearts content while raising funds to help support the youth camp that many churches send its youth too. The goal of this event is to get donations per inch of fish that I catch in a 24 hour period. Or a flat rate donation in any amount the donator wishes to give.
On Friday, June 3rd I am going to embark upon a great fishing adventure. Camp Living Waters has given me the opportunity to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies and impact the lives of young people at the same time. I have agreed to fish from 5pm on June 3rd until 5pm on June 4th because I believe in the effect that this ministry is having on our youth. You too can be part of the effort by sponsoring me in this 24 hour Fishing Adventure.
Camp Living Waters exists to challenge children and teenagers with the life changing love of God in a rustic outdoor setting. Your financial support of my 24 hour fishing binge will enhance the camp’s influence through various needed program improvements. Your participations will allow the camp to get deep into the heart of the next generation of Christ.
I would like to challenge you to sponsor me at $1, $.50, $.25, $.10, $.05 or even a penny per inch. I have a personal goal of catching 500 inches of fish on the event day. Your tax deductible donation will go far to help the ministry impact young people for the lord.
Than you for allowing me to share this opportunity with you. Below you will find a link to the donation page of the website. In this you can choose what denomination you would like to donate, and the camp will send you a letter with the total amount that I caught during this event.
I was lucky enough to bring in just over $1000 thanks to all the great people on this site that donated last year. That money was used to upgrade the archery and air gun equipment. This year I am setting a goal for myself of bringing in over $1200 in donations. The money donated this year is going to be used to help with the purchase of a couple of new horses and tack supplies for the horseback riding program, along with various upgrades or remodeling of the cabins.
The camp is located in Luther, MI. About a ½ hour NE of Baldwin, right in the heart of the national forest.
If you are interested in donating please fill out the form found on this page donation page.. When filling out the form, please put my name, Sean Harvey, in the first line (the fisherman you are sponsoring).
I appreciate your taking the time to read this, and if you are so moved, in helping support a great camp and the youth that attend it. If you have any questions regarding this event, please feel free to PM me or to post in this thread. I will try to answer each and every one of your questions.
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
