This 71` pound kid was fishing some lake in tenn. He caught a 112 pound catfish on six pound test line, I could just picture his dad and grandpa trying to wrestle this big cat into the boat or shore. the boy learned something about being patience and tiring that big cat out. I saw the picture of the boy and the fish, up in flint, mi .Grab Bag Bait and Tackle Shop. You should of seen the biggest smile on the boys face, it was worth a million. Congrats boy, now that is what taking a kid fishing is all about. Bye the way you should of seen the size of that fishes head and body was!

I would imagine that it would be some sort of light tackle record if its true about the 6lb test.

I wasnt a kid but back in the 80`s I caught a 44lb paddle fish in oklahoma on 4.5ft ultra lightusing 4lb test and 1/8th ounce jig while crappie fishing.Took me about 2 hours to land the fish
