had to break in nu engine..never wet a line, but heres the scoop! DNR creel surveyor at huron river drive launch, according to him fishing has been(or catching) slower this week than last.Most folks reporting one or 2 legal eyes, cats just starting to show up in livewells and good crappie to be had, if you know where to find them. a muskie or 2 taken from haggerty rd dam area. While we were out cruising, noticed water temps at east end to b 62/63 range..rising to 68 between bridges and in shallower west end. talked with every fisherman we could..shore folk at frenchs landing claimed it was slow,shore folk around the bridges said they were getting one now and again.best report was a group fishing a particular SE point they had 9 eyes between them 15 to 18inches..they were using yellow jig heads tipped with either a crawler or leech. PWC's and PB'ers were already out in numbers :( . Water looked fairly decent for this time of year
