This has been a while coming... I have been meaning to get around to it. Anyway, Shane (Huntin Horseman), Mitch (ahuntingdude), my bro Tony (FatTony), and my buddy buddy Blake and I all went down to the NC Outer Banks for spring break... We planned a bunch of cool activities such as fishing on the head boat and whatnot, but a major car repair on the first night down really slimmed down the budget. We still managed to relax alot, and spend a few not so warm days on the pier. It wasnt an ideal time of year, as the big sharks and most of the eating fish are not in yet. We did catch lots of Smooth and Spiny Dogfish sharks (about 5' #20lbs max) and a bunch of clear nosed skates, which are basically a sting ray. We also were one of very few parties to catch a few small croaker, ling cod, and blow fish. The sharks were fun on light tackle, noodle rods w/ 4-6lb test. I think the biggest was #12lbs. One day we caught around 35-40 sharks, and probably as many skates, the next day was probably 60 sharks and a ton of skates.
Here are the pics

Nice pics! Love the carolinas. I've fished off that same pier in the summer and caught Spots, Croaker, and sea trout left and right. Spent alot of time in southern NC at Ocean Isle beach catching alot of the same species as well. Sharks, croaker, pinfish, spots, sea trout, drum, sting rays and whiting. Salt water fishing is a blast.
Does Fat Tony think he's a rapper?

Nice! Great pics! What a great time down there.
We go down to Duck, NC (OBX) usually once a year, this year we will miss out cuz they are rebuilding the beachhouse. I fished once down there, from shore, with no luck. I've never fished the pier, tho. What is that pier called? Where is that in relation to the bridge, Kitty Hawk, Duck, etc?
Hopefully you had similar luck at the club as you did on the pier. ;)

Yeah they are! We are hoping to do a trip down in late June to target the big boys and girls! In Feb. I was down in the everglades, and Fla. keys for a week. I caught several black tips over 5', the biggest 6' 3", and a few smaller bulls. I have landed some very respectable fish in the OBX as well.
