Muskegon Lake opener

I fished Muskegon Lake on the opener and we only caught one pike and lost two other fish. also caught a few white bass and a perch. did anyone do any good on the opener?

I fished the arms and went 2/3 both fish where 23 in. :dizzy:

I was casting using husky jerks and only got a few largemouth bass.

I fished Muskegon Lake all day on the opener. Caught 5 eyes but only one keeper, 21 incher. Rest were 2 11s and 2 13s. All caught in deep water tight to the bottom. Dragging crawlers on blindman rigs. And if the blade wasn't bright orange no hits. Also caught an 11 inch jumbo perch. Numerous rock bass, one smallie, 2 pike and a 12 lb sheepshead and a case of wind burn......

Had better openers but all in all any day on the water is a good day.

I was there yesterday and only caught one 25 incher after dark.
