Was really surprised last Thursday when I caught 14 keeper gills in water only 48 degrees.Just keep your eyes on the water when the wind calms. Then you will see the rings from them feeding in shallow. It was a blast but hard to keep the fingers warm.It is snowing today, but tomorrow,be aware, they could be biting!;)

More times than not, its not important to find warm water....but if you find water that's 'warmer' than the rest, you're golden. Anytime after ice out when the sun shines, the water up close to shore is relatively quite a bit warmer than main lake.
