I've been hitting the piers the last couple weeks at night and the fishing has been spotty. Not a lot of fish or bait and pretty hit or miss. Trolling and casting HJ12 Rapalas has been taking some fish. Just about all the piers have fish now if you are willing to put in the time. 50 foot leads 1.0-1.5 mph have been good. I took out a couple guys from the site in my boat the other night and we hit a couple nice fish that Quillback took a pic of that I wanted to share with all you eye heads. These are why we can't sleep at night.:help:

Nice fish guys!

A buddy and I went out to chase some 'eyes tonight with nothing to show for it. My buddy had "something" hooked and faught for a good 15 minutes, the thing never came up off bottom! By process of elimination I have a pretty good idea what it was but when the hook came unbuttoned all we could say was "What the F$%# was that"! Then the wind kicked up something fierce so we bagged it.

Lets see it's almost 2:30 am and instead of sleeping ... or fishing, I'm sittin here in front of this darn computer. I think I need to rearange my priorities. :bonk: :bonk:

Nice fish Tim! I took a guy out thursday and friday night and we did pertty good. We got 10 fish thursday night and 4 friday night. The fish have all been running over 24" with the biggest being 31". We have caught all of our fish 0n #18 rapalas in blue/silver or vampire color. We have been running our leads a little longer though. The fish have been coming from 65'-90' back.

Good Fishing

Max, Quill TOOK the pic.;)

Mitch, that must have been Wednesday night. We got blown off at 10:30 too. 30 mph NW, rain, hail, snow. Thanks again NOAA

Tim, sounds like Thursday was the night. We ended up with 7, but lost as many, especially just before the net. Size has been about like you said. Last night was a bust with the 20 mph bursts from the NW, W, and SW and washtub effect on the lake.:dizzy: Took yet another goose egg, but just had to try again.:evilsmile Ed pm me your number, I wanted to give you a call, but lost your it.

About time for the kings to show up!:D I love spring in Michigan.

Appreciate the pics of the huge 'eyes, however, for future reference, "eye candy" should be reserved for pics of hot fishing chicks. Let's not lose sight of our priorities here...

It was a good night, Tim....and I believe I am finally caught up on sleep again :o The "pike opener" slowed down after I talked to you on Saturday morning but we still caught a few more fish on the PP-HJ14. Hopefully we can slay some big-lake "tuna" on the 15th...talk to you later!
