Finally got around to installing my Wild West Big Loop Lever on the
Guide Gun.
Turned out to be really easy; drop in fit. I did have to chase
the .062" hole for the latch spring retaining pin with a drill bit,
there was a tiny 'flake' of metal/coating in there.
I did notice when removing the factory lever that there was some
metal 'dust' in the oil film where the cutout engages the bolt, I
guess this was leftover from the 'break-in' period. Based on this I
liberally applied some synthetic 'superlube' grease to the new lever
in this area, will hand cycle 50-100 times and then strip again, clean
and re-oil.
Looking forward to using this gun with gloves next November now!
