Saginaw R. At Midnight

Going to the sag. r. to try for some gators at midnight. End of cass ave. anyone tried this spot before on opener? Should Rapalas work as they do other areas of river, or live bait? Any info appreciated, and anyone out around midnight in Bay City, come on by :D

I could get shot for telling you about this, but I like almost all the guys on this board. Get thyself down to the Independence Bridge. Walk through the openeing in the fence, that's supposed to keep people out from under the bridge itself, and cast in the lighted areas and the shadow seams, between and along the pile-on's (that protects the launch area) and the bridge abutments with Firetiger #13 Huskys. Or go to the Vets Park launch area and cast along the shore on the South side of the bridge itrself with the same lures. I've caught some nice fish all the way into early June in these spots at night in the spring. I'm not to worried about this post spoiling my spots. People in general seem to loose interest after the first week or so. Plus being retired, I hit these spots during the weekdays. :evil: :lol:

If you had a boat, the Dow Oil docks downriver get hot as well. Had a night down there last year I won't ever forget, but they are not always in there. When the shad, chubs or little whites are bustin the surface right in the Pile-on's, get in there quick. Good Luck. :fish:

Have fished there before W.E. , it is a good spot ;) Used to live off patterson right around the corner and went down there when I used to work 2nd shift before the Dow plant (plpp) I worked in on wilder closed. I now live on the southside, one block north of cass and 1 block east of broadway, so its just a couple minutes to cass ave. launch. Thought I might give it a try. Thanks for help though, its good to have people who will help with info on here, really a good site :)

Well atleast I Still got 1 good ngiht spot unnamed on here lol. I'm probly going out tonight after dark. Not positive on where yet. Shoot me a pm how ya did Ralph. I'll let ya know if I do any good tonight.
