as your going into harrisville you will go by a bait and tackel on your left the pond in after the bait shop on your left. There is another trout farm called cedar brook up a few more miles

I think you're talking about the "Mill" pond which is right in Harrisville off US 23 north of the blinking light on the west side of the road - it is a zoo there, but a good time, especially for kids..

The mill pond next to Keerls is stocked for the kids fishing derby during the Lake Trout Fest. which occours evry year the last weekend June and the first weekend of July , most likely fished out by now . They do catch some trout in the creek there , but it is mostly hit or miss . There is a trout pond north of Harrisville 3 or 4 miles , head for sturgen point and the pond will be on the right right after you pull off 23 , I believe they have sighns on 23 . Right across from the Harbour I Believe it's a vfw hall or AM VETS ,they have a catch and release pond stocked full of blue gills . Just to the north of that pond are the holding pens , of the salmon to be released into the harbour later in the year . If you see a old man with a beagle feeding the the salmon ,give him a hard time that would be my father .

not sure where you are talking about, i am going to be coming from f-41 to 72 so does that run into 23 by lake huron? The furthest in town I have gone is the captians corner.

At the intersection at M-72 & US-23, basicly right by CC's, go north on US-23 about a block or so, Keerl's is on the left handside, just past the church and the pond is right next store to there.

Harrisville, 15 miles north of the K-Mart in Oscoda and 30 miles south of Alpena , like BURKSEE said at the corner of U.S.23 AND M72 . Once you head east on 72 off F-41 , U.S. 23 is the only major intersection you will cross, once you cross 23 you will be in downtown Harrisville on Main St , all 3 blocks of it
Main St ends at Lk. Huron . If you want to go to the mill pond and Keerls head north on 23 ,it is less than 1/4 mile . The stocked Trout Pond I mentioned is 3 or 4 miles further north on 23 . I'm willing to bet the Mill Pond most likely void of fish this time of year , the locals do a pretty good job of harvesting the fish out of there any way they can . There are a few good trout steams in the area , I'm sure Steve at Keerls can point you in the right ditection if your interested , but most are on privare land , I just rememberd what this weekend is there will a big party at the Mill Pond , Friday night and Saturday , it's more of a beer bash then a fishing bash .

Wildlife chaser ,
The kids fishing Tournamet is a blast ,they don't let adults fish , they also have a kids parade down Main St , after the parade ends they pass out hot dogs chip etc . There FIRE WORKS DISPLAY IS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE , ever seen or at least the best I've seen from a small town . The LAKE TROUT Fest . IS A 9 DAY EVENT , they have events going on for kids of all ages .

want to correct something from last post , the mill will most likely void of fish , unless they have stocked some for opening day .

there's is a huge party there every year a opening day of trout season. Your chance of catching anything is real slim. Your better off going up to the black river or thunder bay.
