Finally made it down to the mighty detroit for the 1st time ever today.. Launched out of St. Jeans and drifted down to cobo...Wound up with 4 smallies and a rock bass :rolleyes: Gotta pay your dues I guess... Fished pnk/wht and grn/white jigs tipped with minnows.
Spent the 1st couple of hours trying to figure out how to keep the line vetical....Finally got the hang of that and spent the rest of the time looking for fish. Talk to some guys that had anywhere from 1 to 8....Didn't see many nets in the water, some by the tail and a couple by the ren cen... Water didn't look too bad, seemed cleaner up by lake though.
At least the weather was decent....Looks like a big pile of crap moving in for the weekend warrior crowd...Best of luck and bring your woolies!!
