How do you shut a thread down after a moderator makes a statement of quotes a report and a member then asks what is wrong with the statement? I am totally serious when I wanted to know what was wrong there as I don't see an illegal act there. Please....why was it shut down?

Adam, closing the thread had nothing to do with your statement in any way. There isn’t anything wrong with catch and release no matter how many fish you catch. I’ve boated 15 Muskie in a day and all were let go and swam away. Sorry, maybe I was just having a bad day but I really couldn’t see much good coming out of letting it continue on. The man’s question was answered and after that the thread was mostly off topic. I apologize if your thought the closing had anything to do with you comment. OK, this thread is closed…………… ;) BTW, I did make a post razzing Walleye Mike for even posting that report. My fellow moderator stirring the pot! :p Feel free to start a catch and release type of thread if you wish. :)

I think things need to be a little tighter in here with all of the judgement that gets passed by MS members. It seems that every thread has the potential to turn into the Buckshot/Slug debate and its getting kind of old. I give John all the credit in the world for letting it go on as long as it did and he even gave a warning about the direction it was heading, which was into a brick wall. Its unfortunate that this forum is starting to resmeble the QDM forum when it first started to go down hill a couple years ago.
That thread needed to be closed, it was heading nowhere.
This one has no point either.

Sorry John, should have explained further. Lately I have been in a pissy mood too.
4 guys catching 63 and releasing them.To me it is the same as 4 guys keeping 20(the limit) and releasing 43 and having a fun day on the water. To me anyway its "no harm, no foul".
Opps, sorry Paul, typing as you were typing.
