Ren-Cen 4/19am

Got out fishing yesterday--jigging, beautiful day, me and a friend and of course my 2 dogs (yellow lab and Gordon setter) who always go with me.
We ended up with 5 fish by 1030 am, we missed so many short bites and the stingers I had were too long, kept tangling up on the jig, so we couldnt use them.
I was pulling up my 4th fish and decided I was going to be a smart-***** and looked over to my friend smiling with a chesser cat grin when he got off my line :dizzy: I think the man upstairs was trying to teach me a lesson because after that I couldnt get a fish up to the top, had 2-3 more that I reeled 1/2 way up and bam they were gone, I usually dont have that problem, so I am sure it was a message from above :p

Also--the color that worked for me yesterday was pink & white jig with minnow.
I am partial to pink :D

I pulled wire last night at the rencen. I only had one walleye and it was sub-legal and 3 small mouth bass. The people jigging in the area seemed to be doing well.

If it's any consolation, I lost four of the first five fish I hooked halfway to the surface yesterday, so it wasn't just you. Then again, maybe the man upstairs was trying to teach me a lesson, too. :yikes: Unfortunately, I don't know what the lesson is. :lol:

We missed a lot on Sunday. The ones we caught we throw backs. Never had this problem on the river before. Hopefully they'll be snappin next week.
