Being indecisive as always, I changed my mind from the inland panfishing and went sunnie fishing today on the big pond...I'm glad I did, my 25 weighed almost 14 pounds. No crappies seen or caught and very few perch seen or caught. Strictly a worm bite as the spikes and waxies are producing more shiners than sunnies...Was in a canal off the southwest side of Anchor Bay...Water clarity about as good as it gets for this time of year...Water temp. was about 54 in the canal I was in and 48 in the lake...SE winds may have blown some colder water in.

Connor,

We might have been fishing the same canal for those slab gills & sunnies. Started out the day fishing for pike. Lots of hammer handles and quite a few follow ups but only one keeper in the box. Steelydawn got this bonus steelie casting for the toothy critters. 35 nice gills topped off the day. IFN and Steelydawn caught most of the fish but I got most of the gill fillets thanks to their generosity. :)

Hey Greg, I think that might be a Coho you have there. Steelhead typically have a more squared off tail and that one looks pretty forked but hey, who care. It looks like a good day fishing! :)

Returned to the same spot this morning and never had a bite in over 2 hours, 20-25 MPH out of the west, made for a ski mask outing. Water clarity stained but fishable...The Bud Light was delicious...

My only limit from today was the party store's limit for number of empties... :D
