Went out squirrel hunting yesterday afternoon, got caught in a rain shower--made it rough to find squirrels, but sure was easy to spot dozens of those little frogs.

Hey there Trout,
Thanks for that link. My memory isn't serving me too well now, without having one infront of me right now I can't tell if some were wood frogs. I didn't look very closely--trying to watch the trees more than the groud anyway ;) More than likely was a mixture, I had a exotics/reptile/amphibian guru with me and he said the one I asked about was a spring peeper. The location was a lowland bordering a shallow pond, very wet and mucky.
Yes I did see a ton of mushrooms as well. I really need to learn which ones you can eat and the ones you can't. Just one more wilderness thing I get to learn about someday--sure beats the Pathology I'm learning right now :D
And your right, the woods is a great place to be right now!!
