Does anyone know anything about Pickerel Lake? It is up by White Lake and was wondering if it is good for any fishing. Any idea how deep it is or any other general information, Thanks.

Which Pickeral Lake? There is a small Pickeral Lake in Washtenaw County near Dexter that I am somewhat familiar with.

What ever happened on the issue of the DNR stocking steelhead in Pickeral lake?

If your referring to the Pickeral Lake that is near Petoskey/Alanson, I have ice fished it and did fair on perch. Other than that I do not know much, but it would probably offer decent largemouth action as most of our inland lakes do.

Pimpin, the DNR planted Lakers for sure and I think some Rainbows. I believe Rainbows are the name of steels that live in lakes. If correct, Steels are rainbows that spawn in the rivers.
I could be wrong but I Lake Trout for sure were planted.

The one I am referring to is off of 131 exit 131 to the West. There is a house for sale on it and was wondering what the fishing would be like. I tried looking it up and there appears to be several Pickerel lakes, kinda weird. Thanks for your help though.
