where is the st jeanes launch?
What parts of the lake or river will it give best access to?

Mike,
St. Jean launch is at the upper end of the great Detroit river just down stream from Lake St. Clair. You get to it off Jefferson Ave.
I launch there to fish Peche Island, the Cow Pasture and Sturgeon hole on the CA side in early spring and many upriver & LSC spots in late spring/early summer.
I'm headed to Lake Erie Metro Park is weekend and will be sure to have a spud with me in case of ice flows.
