Shock Absorbing Ball Mounts

Anybody heard of these. I guess they are supposed to be easier on the driver and transmission. I've got a long towing trip comming up soon and I am wondering if they are worth it.

I've never seen one up close or know anyone who has one but it Look kinda interesting.

I'd just get a weight-distributing hitch if you're worried about it. I've seen them made for boat trailers with surge brakes for around $300.
