:dizzy:
had a pretty good day on the same canal i have been fishing on . this time it was a minnow bite. either a techna-glow frostee or a small egg hook and a bobber.some of the guys use a three eights ounce sinker with 2 hooks above and a bobber. either way it was working .saw about 100 keepers between the guys and i. big fish award was a 12.5 inch MALE. lots of smaller fish mixed in with the keepers. lost a bunch of good fish at the hole due to a too small hook. finally got that frostee on and started popping good ones.tommorrow should be awesome with the rain ans snow.there is a picture in my gallery of todays fish.get'em now ,their's only a few days more ice.

 Walleye Mike said the same thing about the ice, he said next week it'll be gone. Where do you guys think this ice is gonna go?? Unless theres a NASTY offshore wind,, I'll be REAL suprised it we're not on the ice next weekend. Speaking of wind,, it looks like were gonna get some nasty wind tomorrow, seems like it'll be outta the right direction, anyway.

Didn't say it would be gone next week. Said should have ice fishing for the next week (atleast) Shore ice will go first. If guys keep using the ramps with thier cars and trucks, we won't be get out much longer. Suppose to be in the 40's for the next week. Ice will start to go but very slowly(shoreline first). I can see a week or so left, maybe even 10 days.

Which canal are you referring too. I was thinking of trying to give it one last shot tomorrow after work. I been out to LSC 5 times this year and have yet to bring home a mess of fish. If you cant be specific how about the general area. I dont know if I should go to ginos, dnr launch, metro, campau bay, selfrige, or cotton road. Are any of these places better than the others for the evening bite. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This will probably be my last chance to get some fish. Thanks in advance.

Im no expert on LSC perch fishing but from what I have been reading the boat basin and some cuts off there have been doing ok,
Also fairhaven at times has produced some good results.
Cotton rd has probaly has been and will be the most consistant place
Someguys I know have done pretty good at sang also recently.
I think your going to find the most majority of fish in 3-5 feet of water right now and they should start moving in shallower anytime.
Good luck to those out there in hot pursuit of jumbos.
