Caught some keepers up until 8am. then dead. Was straight out from buds with all the others.
4x4 ran great, nice unit. Pulled the trailer very well.
Ice should be good for maybe a week, depends on how much rain and warm weather we get. But I'm sure 1 week is about it.

I was there on Wednesday evening behind buds right off the sled drag strip with a bunch of others. Did bring home fifteen or so with only a few jumbos. They are down there but as always finicky when it comes to biting. Hope to get down there tomorrow am again early before the sleds get going. Fished with minnows on bare hooks and teardrops. Will have radio on 7-0..

nice fish gilly, thats the problem with fairhaven on the weekends. dam sled racin all day. its almost dangerous to be out there on those 2 days.

If them sleds are out there today or were yesterday afternoon be careful of wherever their starting line was (is). The studs on those sleds will take the top 3 inches of ice out within a couple hours of racing....the water on top will soften it quickly cause its already getting soft on the bottom two inches over there. I can feel the difference with my auger when you get to the last couple inches...

That's why I stopped fishing there on the weekends, that noise drives me nuts and it gets quite annoying listening to that all day long.I know it will never happen but I wish they would find a spot to do that crap at where there is less people.Someday someone is going to get hurt there. And the next one that goes flying by my shanty at 50 ft away is going to get hunted down personally by ME.Them idiots dont have any respect what so ever.

As a dirtbiker and a fisherman, I can relate to both sides of this issue. The fact is we all have to share our areas. As long as every one abides by the rules I see no problems with it. If you don't like to hear the dirtbikes and snowmobiles, there are plenty of places to fish where it is not an issue. I personally feel the noise does little to scare the fish. I have at times witnessed perch come in immediately after I fired up my gas auger. It seemed as though they were attracted to the sound. When fishing would slow down, we would simply fire up the auger and in they would come again. Maybe it sounds like a dinner bell to them.

start bringing out cation tape and tape off ur are like 50 yards out... then place rocks like people do, when they have no curb at the street. then we'll see how many of them yahoo, ruin our fishing
