I was reading the previous post about how everyone did great on spring eye's. Some said in the lake - I was wondering where and how do you fish for eye's on LSC in the spring. I usually head south to the Maumee for the run - but if the eye's hit around here - sure would save on gas.

Brute, Normally the eyes start in close by metro/400 club/masonic ect. all along the mile roads. you can troll a 3 way (sinker with a drop, 10" and crawler harnes with a worm 3 foot back). you can also drift if you don't have a kicker. just use a crawler harnes with a slip sinker (or several split shot about 5 foot above-- drift until the sinker bumps the bottom.
Watch the floating logs ect. at this time of the year. I had to pull my boat last year to fix my props.
Do you boat fish?

Yeah, I do have a boat - nothing to brag about but it rides well and the old 25 horse johnson never fails me. Thanks for the info. I usually fish around the North Channel near Grassy Island in the summer and do o.k in around 10 to fiftenn foot dragging harnesses - I have never tried it in the Spring though. I would really like to try down by Metro this year per your advice. What time of year should I start looking for the eye's to be in?
Thanks again!

It depends on the water temps. Sounds like you have the perfect boat to put in at metro or crocker. It's a bummer for me to make the run that early due to floating junk "logs ect". as far as time I'll check old post and let ya know but I think it will be later this year.
