Spent Thursday and Friday hitting the deeper holes. Went three for four on waxies on a plain hook and one on a Panther Martin 1/8 spinner. All winter fish, nice to get up before the rush. The weather was great until the snow this A.M.

2 of us fished 3/16. went 1 for 2 with spawn. Tried waxies/lures/flies without any luck. Fish landed was a fairly fresh hen. Water still .4 deg above freezing mark. Lots of suckers in the river, couldnt even get them to bite. Good drift, saw deer, eagles, muskrats, minks and lots of waterfowl. Only saw 2 other people between Rea rd and whirlpool. Didnt drift over very many fish, about 6 out sunning themselves. have 5 trips planned in the next 12 days, i'll post some progress reports.

Well, let just say it was nice to back in the river. Put in a full day on 3/19, and didn't touch a fish. Time was split between the mouth, and some holes around the B.S. Camp. I didn't see anyone with any fish. Maybe that storm shut em down.
