cotten rd. 3/14

Went out at cotten rd. yesterday. 5 guys fished from 6:45 am until 1:30 pm. We kept a total of 47 perch and 2 slab redears. The perch we kept ranged from a tad over 7" to a tad over 12". Most of our success came in the morning before everyone started to show up ( power augers and pickups). Caught all fish in 6-7 f.o.w between the 3 story house and the point by the salt river. I wanted to commend the guy that was upset with the trash on the ice but picked it up anyway. My dad was having a fit, we picked up several beer bottles and cans, an empty propane cylinder, several empty chip bags, and 3 plastic gatorade bottles. There were also hundreds of cigarette butts frozen into the ice that we were unable to get up. These people think that our natural resources are never ending! All they are doing by leaving that crap all over the place is giving the antis more fuel for their fire.

(p.s. we normally don't keep anything under 8'' but we wanted some fish)

Me and bud are going there later this afternoon. I usually don;t keep 7 in. perch, but at times it is all I can get. see ya

Hey man, if you want to clean em (I do!), those 7" perch make some damn good eating! Congrats of the fish!
