Anybody fishing metro???

Haven't seen a report out of there for about 3 weeks..... :confused:


Only about 15 cars at ginos this morning....must still be pretty quiet over there. ( and yes there is still ice...Those guys that broke off yesterday were WAY out there....maybe 2 1/2 or 3 miles.)

Fished Metro Beach Thursday evening in the snowstorm. Water is still very dirty, stinks and dinks.

ive been using this bait I got, these garlic shrimp it just brought alot of little ones around, here is the link on eBay where I got them from, the fish destroy this bait I was very pleased....

Ive got some of those...not garlic flavored though....Only tryed them once this year...Didn't do any good. Of course I wasn't doing any good before I tried them!!

Fished Metro today and came home with zero. Should have stayed at SANG. A least I was catching fish there. Went in to eat lunch and had the brainstorm go to metro that was a mistake. Still alot of ice way out.

i was there sunday from 11:30 till 5:30pm i was way out in front of the beach in 8.5 fow. nothin but dinks, i think i got about 10 or 12 of them. had 1 nice pole bender but he got my minnow at about 5:00pm. everyone i talked to said same thing small or none at all. one guy in the parking lot had 16 very nice fish, said he got them staight out towards genos in 6 fow. all the big ones came in at about 9:30am till 12:00 he said he was using minnows & he caught 50 or 60 fish, said he was there when the sun came up.there was a pretty big group of people right in front of the beach dont know how they did. i dont think my radio works very good or no one was on channel 7. ice was at least 14" morons were driving out in a truck doing doughnuts when i was going in and they launched there shanty out of the truck :yikes: they almost drove off but someone saw it.LMAO

Gone Fishing Jr has been fishing the back Basin. Yesterday he came home with 15 decent fish from 8 - 12 inches with most coming on minnows. He said he released about 20 marginal fish in 7 - 7 1/2 inch range. He was working the NE corner. I don't know how he got to be such a bucket butt because he sure didn't get it from me. :p

I think I know where he got it from, probably that same guy who fishes with him all summer. Dont be a closet butt, admit your problem and you will be accpeted with open arms.

:lol: Yeah Ken, I would have been out there more this winter if it wasn't for all the honey do's. I finished the last project yesterday so now it's on to boat and fishing stuff. It's about time! :)

Ginos Sat: 2pm-dark:30, three jumbos on deadstick minnows in 10' (one 13" 1#2oz.). No dinks :) .

Very dirty water, visibility 2'.

The jigs are real garlic smell it lured some in, but I was using a noodle rod, with a moon jig blue and pink strip, just jigging. I go out in 8 fow right in front of ginos no hiking what so ever, you should see this big brown wooden shany that ripped up right infront of that shany is where i usually go for ginos.
