To get to the Piers you take M-25 north until you hit the light in Lexington then turn right and it will take you right into the marina you cant miss it.As for bait they usually cast spoons and such, but it might still be froze up in there pretty good. You are probably jumping the gun for that type of fishing. You might want to take you ice gear and use wiggelers or swedish pimples tipped with a minnow.I have caught some nice browns and steelhead there thru the ice that way.Good luck if you go.

I stopped by the harbor, on my way to a bird hunt last weekend. There was still some ice in the harbor, but the lake and the mouth of the harbor were blue. I talked to one fisherman, who told me he caught one brown. There were about 6 shanties out there, at the most 150 out.
I fish there mostly early in the season (april, early may), looking for the silver fish. You dont need a large boat, since most of the trolling is in 20ft and under water depths. I have luck long lining orange or brown/gold jointed rapalas, or pearl or clown bombers. You can use downriggers if you got them or use inline planer boards.
It seems the guys from shore are casting spoons, or three ways, with spawn. Cant wait to get the boats in the water this year. I thought I heard a Robbin the other day, but I think it was just wishful thinkin'.:fish:
