caught my first ones yestuday was wondering if u eat'em or throught them back. they were some nice size fish

I personally throw them back but I have heard that they can be pretty good table fare if they are placed on ice right away. I guess that’s not a problem this time of year. :lol: I don’t think I’ve heard of people catching them through the ice but I’m not much of an ice fisherman. You can’t keep them off your line at times during the Walleye run in the Detroit River.

Silver bass are great eating fish! I go after them on occasion in the late spring. Two suggestions would be 1) trim off the 1/4 dark section just under the skin, and 2) cut the filets into perch size sections and soak them over night in salt water (rinse well the next day). Do this, fry em up and you will think they are as good or better eating than walleye! <----<<<

gone fishing turned me on to a site with better pic's they were diffenetly white perch and big ones two all 4 were over 10"
