Are you thinking of taking a motor there? or have you dealt with them and are wondering what the @$%&**

I am thinking about taking my OMC 140 horse I/O there. I want to have the seals checked, oil changed etc.

If your talking about the one down by Lee St. I was there this summer on a tip for some replacment boat parts.
I can't speak for the mechanic's work but the shop looked like a major hole!
Unless you like a real greasy boat I would'nt go there.

Have you ever heard of Becker's Marine? He is out on Kochville Rd. just west of Hospital Rd. I took my boat to him this fall for winterizing. Good work and keeps your boat clean.

The marina at the Lee St. Boat launch IS a HOLE.

Mel the owner/head mechanic on the other hand is a top notch/well regarded businessman in the Saginaw Area.

Mel will fix your boat quickly and professionally and he won't rape you on the price. He does a fair job for a fair wage. Dont let the looks of the place get you down.

Also gotta agree about Becker's on Kochville Road. He's also a stand up guy. I took a boat to him once and he stopped what he was doing, hopped up in my boat....took it apart showed ME how to fix it MYSELF. When I asked him how much I owed him (spent almost an hour with me) he said to just make sure the next time I had a problem with my boat, to come see him. Well I've never had any trouble with my boat since then, so I'm going to pass along the favor on the site.....Give Becker a try. If you need specific directions to his place, PM me and I'll forward you directions.....I live and work right around the corner from his place.

I can vouch for his work as I have used his services. It may be just a hole in the wall but his work is top notch and like the previous post said he won't rape you on the price.
