How do you wire 2 12 volt batteries to get 24 volts? I am getting the boat ready for a Ky. Lake Trip, and have to put the electric motor back on. I quess I forgot how they were wired when I removed them from the boat. Can you charge a 24 volt sustem with a on board charger?.......Thanks........Blue

Positive to positive----neg to neg = 12 volts

Positive on one to neg on the other=24 volts
Then you take your other cables and put one on the positive and one on the other neg.

Nope. You are doing only one pos to neg. The other pos and neg are for trolling motor. Might get a small spark but don't worry about it.

Tie the Pos of one battery to the Neg of the other. then tie the motor to the remaining POS and NEG terminals.
