Does anyone out there have any experience with the new Evinrude E-Tec engines in the 40 to 60 HP range. Thinking of remotoring the boat and am considering the E-Tec.???

They look like awesome motors!,but only time will tell...I know bass and walleye tested the 225hp on the same hull they tested the 250hp Merc Verado on and it put a whippin on the big supercharged Merc.speed and fuel economy.
I do know the smaller E-tecs like the one you are looking at were the first released and have been in service for over a year know and I have heard no bad reports.
I know I can't wait to get my grubby paws on one! My buddy Bill has a new 50hp in his showroom but he won't let me do much more than pull the cover off.
Like I said it's new technology and only time will tell? I know if I were in the market for a new outboard (unfortunately I am not) I would be taking a hard look them
