Will there be open water by end of this week on LSC? I realy want to get on the open water. As much as like ice fishing I like fishing from a boat even more.

The lake is no longer locked up and is open in the middle. There is only one big chunc holding the ice in from huron pointe to the gross pointe area. 1 big blow and she is all gone.

Has the ice broke away let i am hopping. but the cold weather moving in over night migh make it refrezze.

To safely fish the lake or river I think it'll be close to April. There is still alot of ice that will be coming down in the next few weeks. Especially with the lack of warm weather in the immediate forecast. Unless that changes it'll be a few weeks before you can safely get out. Dodging ice flows can be very scary, right Ed.

Thats crazy!!!

We were 6 miles out on 15" of ice on saturday!!!!
