Was wondering if anyone knew what cost might be to recover something like a quad, snowmobile etc. that has fallen through ice. Also the name of any companies in michigan that do that type of work? Just curious as to if it happend how you would get your machine back and what it may cost? Thanks for any input........Ralph

Sure, $4K is a lot of money.....

But would YOU get in that water and recover it ? Do you know how much money it costs to outfit those guys ? Let alone the risk involved.

Somehow I think there's probably a bunch of guys here that would jump into that water in their birthday suit for that kind of cash.....

I spoke to one of the guys that put his sled through the ice recently on Lake St. Clair near New Baltimore. He said it cost him $2500.00 to get it out.

I've got a drysuit for diving. Ice dives aren't that bad. Your face is the only thing that gets exposed to the water. Seeing the light come through the ice when under it is pretty neat.
