well, for those of you that enjoy mushroom hunting. I just went out and found more hens than I could bring back!!!!! I can't wait to fry some up!!!

My husband and I enjoy morrels and would love to hunt for other mushrooms!!! Could you give us any info on the good kinds and the bad. We love to take walks in the woods and see many different kinds but are not sure what they are. Any info would be wonderful.

Looks like you are an expert on shrooms, maybe we should have a combination fishing mushroom hunting outing. Are you going to the ludington outing ? I see all kinds of different fungi in the woods when squirrel hunting but don't know which ones are edible. I pick oysters and puffballs in the fall but haven't seen a hen yet for sure. I have books and pics but I don't trust them, I'd rather learn from someone who knows.

looks like you don't live too far from me. I know where there are a few hens left but they are getting old. We should have a mushroom fishing outing...that would be a good time!!!

I've been out hunting squirrels a little lately but haven't found any shrooms. It's been very little as I have been working 12 hours a day for the last 10 days except the weekend and I had to squeeze honey dos in there too. Hopefully things will slow up next week and I can get my boat put up and then get back to fun stuff. We'll keep in touch. Have you been to any of our fishing outings ?
