What's up with the river? Any chance of getting a boat in by the 15th?

The private marina is letting people launch at no fee. But be forewarned that the ramp is quite steep and drops off quick. Must be very careful not to pull your axle off the trailer. Fishing is awesome with lots of fish being caught. Smaller the boat the better.

How much of the river is ice free right now?
I have the last 5 days of walleye season free and I am hoping to make a trip over there if the river doesn't get to high and muddy or have ice on it again.
I think the saginaw river is going to be my only hope this year, I usually fish Muskegon lake at the end of the season but I think the cold spell coming up isn't going to allow any boat fishing there before the season closes.

Is the river still open? Was wondering if we can put a boat in anywhere by the Z bridge?
