Welcome to the site Hammer!

Saginaw Bay can be difficult to fish in the spring of the year as the walleye are coming back out of the rivers from spawning and have'nt set up a good pattern yet. I assume walleye is what you would be targeting.

Around May the walleye move back out into the bay. They will usually follow the shore lines back out to the deeper water. Fish will usually be in water 4-10 feet deep.

As the summer warms the water up the fish will move out to deeper water-20+ feet. This is when some more predictable fishing can take place, but not always.

There is a DNR launch site at the mouth of the Saginaw River. Going out of Hoyles Marina in Linwood would be a good bet also.

Contact some of the area bait and tackle shops or fishing report web sites to see what the hot rigs are and where some fish are being found then.

Good luck! :fish:
