Fished Bristol Lake on Saturday, marked fish all day. I only caught 12 and kept 4. Couldn't get them to bite. Fished Reeds on Sunday from 3:30-6:30. Got bites constantly, lost a lot of fish, caught probably 30-35 or so and only kept 11 all from one spot, the only spot I marked fish - 23 FOW. I'm guessing the high pressure and sunny skies was the killer on Saturday. Anyone notice that this weekend? Are there many good sized fish (over 8") in Reeds?

Yes, there are good sized fish in Reeds. But no, I didn't catch many decent sized fish this weekend. I had a great bite in 30 FOW on saturday on Reeds, but I think it helped switching to 1 lb.. But only 1 out of 4 was a keeper, and even that was stretching it. The perch in there average 7 inches or so, the gills I've seen 9's and 10's and some big Crappie, but saturday it was hard getting anything of size.
My gill's were averaging about 6 1/2 to 7 and the perch 6 inches or so

J-Rod , I don't think it's that simple to make a comparison like that, the weather can be different from one area to another, more predator fish ect, I think if you would have fished the same lake in the same spot at the same times you would have done better on sunday over in your part of the state. This is the first year I've ice fished more than like 5 times, so I'm just trying to make generalizations about weather patterns and wether or not they affect ice fishing like they do on soft water and am looking for opinions on that subject. I may not make a long trip if I think the weather will slow the fishing, instead opting to stay put on home waters. I like to be efficeint as possible and not waste time. And yes, the fishing (for me) was better on Sunday on the west side.
Edit: But GVSUKush did well on Saturday on Reeds, so maybe it wasn't the weather. Or maybe it was, and the difference was his 1 lb test vs my 2 lb test. Like Tommy said, there's a lot of variables.
