Does anybody know who might carry Attwood Seat Pedestals locally (metro area)? I am looking for the adjustable seat post for the front of my boat, but have yet to have any luck in finding one. Just curious if anybody might know. Thanks.

Try Mike's Marine on 10 & Jefferson. If the don't have it they will order it.

I had to order them from Cabelas a couple years back.

Thanks for the info. I'll stop by Mike's and see what they have.

I saw them at Bass Pro in Auburn Hills last year.

Just an FYI, I finally got some info on the "power-pedestal" that I was looking for from Attwood. Come to find out, they changed their design starting in 2004. Of course, my boat is an 03, so the new post won't fit the base. I have to replace the base to accomodate the new pedestal. When all was said and done, it would cost me just over $300 bucks for the new hardware. Ya right! If I have to change the base anyway, I might just as well go to BP or Cabela's and buy off the rack for less than $100 bucks. Not only is it cheaper, but these brands are much easier to find if you ever have any problems or want to change something. Anyway, didn't mean to vent, but just thought I would share this info in case it might affect anyone else.

if your pedistal is a 1.77 ( old standard) type than springfield marine still make an adjustable power post for it.there about 50-55 bucks at basspro.the 2 3/8 type are also available from swiveleze.atwoods stuff is almost a copy of an original manufactures design so its easy to replace.the 3/4 pin post and threaded pin post are both easily obtainable too. just let me know which you are after.i can steer you in a couple directions. i replaced 4 posts last year after finding mismatched ones on my boat.i learned a lot chasing down various parts and still have some extra's.

The ones I currently have in my boat are 2 3/8. The problem is, the Swiveleze post won't fit the Attwood base correctly. The only option I see is replacing everything or stumbling across someone with used parts. I think I'm just going to buy a new Swiveleze post and base. I can buy them off the rack for less than $100 bucks. If it was a position in my boat where I might want to use one of the existing seats I would be more concerned, but the casting seat is the only one that I will be using in the bow, so I should be fine. Thanks for the offer though.
