Usually it's St. Clair , but depending on ice out it could be up at the cottage on George Lake

My name probably tells you where I'll be fishing, and I'll start on 'gills until Pike and Musky opens up.

Splicer - I'll be headed to the Detroit River to jig for 'Eyes ASAP. Then as soon as the Saginaw River is good to go, it's Walleyes and Smallmouth all season. I'm ready, seems like an awfully long Winter this Year ! Bob.

Most of the rivers around here are open now.The only problem is that they are all about 2-3 foot above normal. That and you have to keep chipping the ice off your guides.
Seems like I never have much luck when they are this high. It's been long enough since we had any rain, that they are pretty clear, but the fish don't seem to be in their usual holes,or just have lockjaw.

I,caught a walleye with a stick-bait,out of a local river,friday afternoon.
They are still pretty high, but starting to recede some.Down almost a foot from last week.
