can anyone explain the technique for chumming with a soup can ? It was on an episode of michigan-out-of-doors a couple of weeks ago and I missed it. The technique allows precise placing of chum in deep waters like higgins. Thanks in advance. Mike

We use a paper lunch bag to get the chum directly beneath the hole. Put your chum and a rock inside the bag, squeeze out any extra air from the bag, tie the bag shut using your drop-down line, lower the bag to the bottom, last give the line a hefty jerk upwards. The rock rips the water saturated bag and the contents spill onto the bottom. Retrieve the empty sack. Good luck.
