Captive cervid audit, deer hunt numbers, TB testing, feeding and baiting, crop damage and other topics. Members of the Ag. Commission are appointed by the governor, however they have definite connections to the agricultural industry. Members of the Natural Resources Commission also appointed by the governor, would definitely appear to come under the definition of political appointees. We have a resturateur, a former teacher, a former legislative assistant and television personality, an insurance and hardware executive, a former union executive and a the executive of a powerline company and truck dealership. No fish and game biologists. No forestry, mineral, or wildlife experts. Not even a real estate person.!

several hardcore hunters and anglers on the commission now, which is more than we have been able to say in the past about the NRC.

All is not quite hopeless.

But then again, don't forget that we also have a former board member of the Sierra Club, and that scares me. But she's been quiet since her little fiasco with Bill Parker right after she was appointed. Hopefully, she'll stay that way, I have every reason to believe she was only appointed because they needed a semi-qualified female on the board.
