I was walking my trap line today and I jumped a cottontail. I have done it before but have never been offered a shot. Well, today was my lucky day. One shot with my old Steven's 22 and it was game over. That will be good!

Nice job!! Its always nice to get one and not have too pick the shot out. Is that one of the old single shot/rolling block 22's? My father-in-law has one that I just put in the shop for him that needs a little machining. Very cool little gun.

Nice rabbit. I'm a bunny buster buster from way back and always enjoyed hunting them. You ever jump one up or spot one in a squat try hooting like an horned owl. It makes them freeze and gives you a chance to get a bead on them. My Gramps taught me that when I was a kid. Also there was a nice article about it in FFG a couple of months ago. Good hunting!
