Mike08,
I bought the Hoyt Ultramag for my 15 year old son last summer. This is an awesome bow, we are really impressed. It's a better bow than I have ever owned until I bought a my Hoyt Razortec.
I would not hesitate to purchase one for myself, good choice.

You can't go wrong! As long as you like the way itfeels and it suits your style and form, go for it. It's probably the top bow in it's price class. Your not giving up very much if anything when you compare it to the bows costing $700+. The risor is magnesium, but it will feel better than many aluminum risor bows....thats the only cost cutting really. You still get Hoyts best limbs and the cam n' half system.

I bought a 2005 Hoyt UltraMag and I really like it. It shoots great. It is quiet, fast, little vibration, draws silk smooth, is draw length adjustable, and is very easy to group with. I think the real test is when I go pickup other bows or shoot other ones, I still like mine better. That is good enough for me. You will not go wrong with this bow and it has a lifetime warranty.
