North Bay here too, I sell alot to Ralph at J&K furs also, I get around the same prices from both.

Could one of you guys give us an idea how much you get per pelt from several different animals ? Also, about how long does it take to skin those animals. Most of us don't have a clue about about your hobby.

L&O. click on the link in my post, then go to Auction results, scroll down to the US Dollar chart, this will give you a very good idea of prices we get for furs, you can check out all the auctions North Bay had for 2000-2001... Skinning the critters we catch, I can speak for Beaver, Otter, Muskrat, Coyote, Mink and Coons.
Mink, Rats, and Coons are a easy do, very little knife work involved 5 maybe 10 min. for the coons, rats and mink under 5 min. once I get rolling.
Beaver, Otter, and Coyotes are a very differant matter, it's knife work all the way to the nose. Once I get 10 or 15 Beaver under my belt for the season I can Rough skin, Flesh and board a beaver in about 1/2 hour, Otter, add another 15 min. Coyote I don't do enough to get good at them, they say that skinning them warm speeds them up I wouldn't know :D

So someone wanna tell me how you get the furs to your buyers? Im kinda new to trapping and just been selling really cheap to locals. WHat are some prices on coons, yotes, mink and m'rats? And are you satisfied with you prices???
