Just preparing some bass riggings for the upcoming season --

I was wondering how many use swivels and with what setups. I know that using a swivel on a carolina rig is common. But what about Texas rig or when hooking up crank bait or spinner bait. Would you normally throw a swivel on the line with these other setups as well??

Also, with hard baits do you normally tie right to the lure or use a snap or a snap with swivel??

Thanks!

Thanks!Rarely do I use a snap swivel on body baits because most of the time the swivel will hinder the lures action. On hard baits that have lots of action I will use the Rapala knot to allow freer motion. I never use a swivel on spinner blades or top water.
