Is the swithcback that nice that if you pick it up and shoot it, your credit card come out before the arrow hits the target?

I've had mine for about 6 weeks and have been shooting in the back yard (yes, through the snow) ever since. How many days till Oct 1? ;)

I have had mine for almost a month now. I really enjoy how smooth it is. I had great luck with my LX, but this is a much smoother/quieter bow. I did have problems with my string, and Mathews replaced it for me. I got one of the bad ones that got out. Othe than that it is a great bow.

It's an incredible bow, I have an Outback and I shot the Switchback about 3 weeks ago and it is as smooth and quiet as mine but 10 fps faster, awsome.
:help: <---- All other bow companies.

I may have to trade in the old lx and get me a Switchback The only problem is that the lx has been such a good bow. But if i know Mathews the Switchback must be AWESOME.

My eyes are bad, trying to look at the picture. Is that a muzzy zero effect?

I'm jealous!!! :bloos: I have a Browning afterburner. I like the speed, but the 5.5" brace height is a little annoying, especially for those cooold days that I'm wearing a thick coat. I've been eyeing those Mathews for a while but just don't want to pony up the doe to get one. Everyone I've talked to that has a Mathews, absolutely loves them. It's good to see that they are getting some serious ft/sec and keeping the brace height at a decent 7+"

Enjoy the new bow and may you bring down many deer with it.

I keep bows quite a while so I look pretty close before I buy one, this maybe the year. I have never had a matthews and thought they were over rated, but after shooting the switchback it is defintely on the short list.

I recently purchased a Switchback. I picked out my rest etc on Friday and will pick it up from my dealer on Tuesday. I keep a bow when I buy it. Have only hunted with 5. Recently a young fellow {I am 49 so anyone younger than me is a young fellow} that I know wants to get into archery so I made him a real sweet deal on my Reflex Caribou. It has taken 13 deer and several rabbits. I bought a Hoyt Ultratec two years ago so the Caribou was my back-up bow. Now with the Caribou gone this was my excuse to buy a new bow. Ha Ha I looked at the Mathews when I bought the Hoyt and really liked them also. NOW what I am going to say is not brand bashing as I am keeping my Hoyt and in fact recently bought a Hoyt for my wife. In comparing the two brands I dislike the rubber tube on the peep sight{breaks ,catches on brush tec} No tube on Switchback. On my Ultratec I have put on two sets of the $25 limb savers. The rubber keeps coming off. They must have had problems with them as I see they changed to a different style on the 2005 s Not needed on Mathews. On the Hoyt I had two sets of string leeces on as the string cuts them in half. I not use the tie on string silencers. Not need on Mathews. If Hoyt went to the type of string that Mathews use then to me they would have a complete package. I will now have two excellent bows to hunt with and shoot. A friend of mine bought a Swickback two weeks ago and claims he is more accurate with it than any bow he has shot. I fell in love with the ZERO hand shock and quietness. Now I will have to buy a double bow case so I can take both bows with me on out of state hunting trips > Any suggestions???

Not sure what this has to do with the bows? Are you saying you get no peep rotation with the zebra strings?

In all fairness the ultratec is more of a 3d bow as well. Longer ATA and more vertical limbs. This will always creat more handshock. Kind of like comparing apples to oranges.

The dealer who I deal with sells only Hoyt and Mathews and when I was in the other night he told another customer that he does not need to put the rubber tube on the Mathews??????? I do not know, just going by what he said and the fact that friends of mine do not have the tubes on their Mathews. As far as hand shock we are puting a mechanical devise into a non mechanical thing {a humane body] and everyone will feel things differently. I know I do.

The rest is a Muzzy Zero Effect which is new with this bow. I have not hunted with it but really like it so far. I had the shop install and adjust it for me so I don't know how difficult that can be.

I went from a 5 yr old Hoyt Magnatech that I really liked but the technology advancements (with ALL brands) got me looking at new bows and the Switchback was a great choice. I shoot 3-5 times/week (both inside and out) and just can't seem to put it down!

I've also added this mounting bracket for the Soft-Loc quiver that gets it up and back (toward string and away from the mounting hardware for the sight) which sets up perfectly for this bow IMHO.
