O.K. Folks, Here they are.

Some of you may have herd through the grapevine that Dave Storm was working on an idea for a Goby colored Crankbait. Well, it's birth was not an easy one, or without some personal labor pains for me. This idea was a joint/over time thought process of some different people including Me, Jim from downriver tackle and Dave Storm. The idea's timing and the color schemes themselves caused the most confusion between Jim and I, but has since be ironed out between us, and I'm very pleased that it has.

I Initially approached Dave with the idea last summer, but his production schedules back then superseded doing any midseason custom jobs of any color. When we decided to move on this project, the idea was still only going to be a custom color. At that time we both searched the Internet for Goby pictures and body color schemes that more closely matched the Gobi's I'm used to seeing in the Saginaw Bay. The Gray Goby Express was the one I thought looked most like our local Goby, at least the ones I've found in the stomachs of our walleye and have caught myself. Yet like other species of fish living in different bodies of water, the Gobie seem to have a variation of color patterns from place to place.

So Dave decided to make a set of Goby patterns to match as many of the pictures that we found. The results were 4 Goby patterns that I/we feel look very close to all the ones we found. In fact they looked so good, that Dave decided to make them a stock production color versus a custom. And not just in the Winning Streak model, but all the models of Ka'Boom cranks. Below is the very first look by the fishing public at these new Goby colored patterns. I also included some of the actual Goby pictures that we took the patterns from. Also a few words by Dave about the painting process.

The next page of this story of course will have to written by the walleyes themselves. They are the final quality control variable and without their approval, the Goby color pattern might just be another pretty face. But I'm hoping that what I've seen the last couple of years as far as the walleyes forage preferences go, puts these new colored cranks on their main menu.

Daves release.

Here are the new Gobys in separate photos. I will be making a flyer with
photos on it, along with the proper item numbers and information regarding
colors and baits.

GREY GOBY EXPRESS #1

BLUE GOBY #2

YELLOW GOBY #3

GREEN GOBY #4

All are available in all three series of baits, even though the photo only
shows the new NS and the WSR.

All have our trademarked "Purple Haze" irredescent topcoat that gives all
goby colors lifelike shimmer and shine!

All will be available as stock items beginning right now...distribution
will begin in two weeks in all series. So, we are taking orders now from
dealers and distributors and have already sold baits at the show last week.

Fishcapades.

Dave E-mailed me this new flyer this morning and said they were on their way to Franks right now. I'm not sure Franks would even stock them yet though, with the ice season still having a little life left in it. This flyer picture is a lot better picture of the Goby colors I think.
