I think Gun Lake is over there. You may want to try that. It is sposed to be tops
in the state.

Pine Lake,on the border of Calhoun & Eaton, has a few,as does the Bellevue Slough, behind the dam on the Battle Creek River,in Bellevue.
Thornapple Lake,is noted for Pike & Musky.
I've caught a few Pike in the Kalamazoo River, behind the V.A. hospital, near Wabascon Creek.

Thornapple lake, is another good pike lake. Easy to figure out and you have a good chance to catch a muskie.

good luck on those toothy, slimy, critters

Lots of small pike in Gun right now. they seem to go in cycles as far as numbers/size. Might have to do with the muskies being virtually eliminated. It had natural muskies forever, then their numbers dwindled and was also stocked until the early 80s. The idiot, ignorant lake association demanded the DNR stop stocking muskies. There are still a few, but spearers also take a toll on them. So, right now you catch lots of small pike but there are some bigger ones in there.

Yup, Thornapple is full of em'. Kalamazoo river is good too, we floated from Augusta to Galesburg last year, and couldn't stop catching them. You might also try where the Battle Creek river runs into it. Goguac and Gull are quite popular for tip-up fishing, i've never fished them in the summer.
